1976 Jaguar XJ-12 C

Here is a white examle of the car Classic and Sportscar magazine describes in it’s 12-cylinder form as “one of the finest cars Jaguar has ever made”. Car is in very clean condition. Runs beautifully and has driven only 47K miles. Evidently has led a very easy life as a garage-kept summer weekend car at a country cottage. Car has no rust with only the most minor blemishing around the driver’s side rear-view mirror. The car has had a $2700 3/31 posi rear-end rebuild and has had the dodgy Lucas ignition replaced with a Lumention/Crane system that works perfectly. The car has also had a recent brake overhaul. Flaws worth mentioning are the sunroof -- not functioning; a Delco air conditioning compressor that needs attention and a fan switch that works intermittently. The black interior is very clean with no rips in the leather or cracks in the dashtop. There is some minor cracking in the finish of the dashboard wood -- but presents beautifully. The chrome finisher on the trunk lid has a slight dent -- I have obtained a good replacement on e-Bay which will go with the car. The factory parts manual, service manual, and owner’s manual go with the car. This is an original unmolested car and probably one of the nicest around. Recently I made a round trip 650 miles to the Import festival at Carlisle and the car performed beautifully. I am listing this car with a reasonable reserve as I do wish to sell it. I will ask for a third of the selling price by money order or certified check as deposit within one week of the end of the auction. Cash, money order or certified check upon pick up of car -- within two weeks of the end of the auction. Buyer arranges and pays for pickup of vehicle -- located in New York State.
